EXTRA MRI

I didn’t want to post about this until we knew the results, but Caleb had an MRI scheduled today. This came up rather suddenly and was not a regularly scheduled one, but after speaking with his doctor over the last few weeks about the accidents he keeps having he decided to order an MRI. One possible cause of the accidents *could* have been something putting pressure on part of his spine making him unable to feel when he needs to use the bathroom.

Well I will make this short and quick and say that after his MRI today we received the news that his scan was CLEAN!!! Even though our doctor ordered this as a precaution just to be extra thorough and be able to rule out any spinal issues, I can’t tell you the fear that crept in today while waiting for him to go into his MRI. I wondered if something that seemed like a small issue could turn into something that revealed a major issue. But not today, thank God! Caleb’s spine is clean and so now we can move on to addressing the issue in a different way.

We spent the rest of the day with Caleb waking up and recovering from his anesthesia because it’s been a while since he’s had a “sleepy appointment” as he calls them. He was a hungry little monster when he first woke up! HA HA!

Tyler had a bad cold and spent the day with daddy while he worked. At the end of the day we finally let them get back together and play because they missed each other. This included some time outside playing golf, riding scooters, and we even did a science experiment. The kids got a kick out of blowing up a balloon with vinegar and baking soda. They did it over and over until I ran out of vinegar. I guess I will have to find some more basic science experiments online to do with them. It was a fun afternoon and we have the weekend free with no appointments!
